2023 Women in CRE: Renee Swetz, Skanska USA Building

Renee Swetz
Senior Project Manager
Skanska USA Building

What recent project, transaction, or accomplishment are you most proud of? I think it is very easy to say that I am proud of a recent project completion or the repeat business that comes from it, but it’s all the result of creating a team dynamic that is greater than the sum of its parts with various strengths and perspectives. Ultimately, I am most proud when the team creates synergy and cohesively communicates to complete the project.

What are the most important factors women in your industry should consider when choosing a firm to build their career with? A company with strong core values ingrained in every aspect of business lends to an inclusive culture that advocates for and serves its employees well.

Who inspires you most? What qualities do they possess that inspire you? I am inspired by the rising generation for their tenacity and innovation, and by the women leading the charge in their own way.

Why should this nominee be recognized in our Women in Commercial Real Estate Spotlight? “During the past year, Renee has led her team through numerous obstacles to successfully construct a new Ambulatory Care center in Brooklyn. She leads by exemplifying what success looks like, building a diverse team, encouraging them to take risks and exceed expectations, and rewarding success.” - John Novack, Director of Operations at Skanska USA Building.
