What recent project, transaction, or accomplishment are you most proud of? The project I’m most proud of is the Plainedge High School cafeteria, a $3 million addition and interior renovation to the school’s existing cafeteria. It was an intricate project that involved the collaboration of the entire office. It is not just the accomplishment of creating a functional and sleek space, but also the numerous skills I acquired and honed in the process, including persistence, leadership, and countless architectural lessons I will bring to future projects.
What are the most important factors women in your industry should consider when choosing a firm to build their career with? Respect and open communication are essential, as is a supportive workplace that actively encourages staff development and provides all with opportunities for growth.
Who inspires you most? What qualities do they possess that inspire you? My biggest inspiration is my Architectural History professor. She is persistently curious and possess a willingness to fail and learn from the mistakes and progress.
