2023 Women in CRE: Gisella Haidar, NAI Global

Gisella Haidar
Senior Vice President, Capital Markets
NAI Global

What recent project, transaction, or accomplishment are you most proud of? I recently graduated with honors from NYU’s Schack Institute of Real Estate, earning a MS degree in Real Estate Development, including being named an ICSC Scholar in 2021 and a WX Scholar in 2022. My efforts culminated in receiving the prestigious Schack Leadership Award (one of two from the graduating class) and recognition for the Best Capstone Project within the real estate division. I was also named a Future CRE Leader by Trepp in 2023.

What are the most important factors women in your industry should consider when choosing a firm to build their career with? Look for a company culture that values skill-building, innovation, and ongoing education. Focus on organizations that align with your personal values, professional aspirations, and continuous improvement.

Who inspires you most? What qualities do they possess that inspire you? My family. We moved to the U.S. when I was 16. Because of their relentless pursuit of education and personal growth, they motivate me daily.

Why should this nominee be recognized in our Women in Commercial Real Estate Spotlight? “Gisella started her commercial career in 2012, becoming part of the NAI Global Capital Markets team in 2015. With a concentration on investment sales/dispositions nationwide, Gisella has participated in over $1.2 billion of commercial real estate and non-performing loan sales, of which she was directly responsible for nearly $600 million.” - Arthur Milston, Senior Managing Director and Co-Head of Capital Markets, with NAI Global.
