Manhattan, NY Group PMX, an innovator in project, program, and construction management, has promoted four standout professionals: Elise Lontos to associate director; Monica Ciavarelli and Tim Kiser to senior project manager; and Samir Rafla to senior project controls manager. Elise Lontos, CCM, assoc. DBIA, LEED GA — associate director: One of Group PMX’s longest-tenured leaders, Elise Lontos joined the firm in 2014 — just five years after its founding — with a distinguished record across healthcare, higher education, and laboratory sectors. Her client roster includes NewYork-Presbyterian, Columbia University Irving Medical Center, NYU Langone, Montefiore Health System, and Weill Cornell Medicine. A certified construction manager and 2022 “20 Under 40 Outstanding Women in Construction” honoree, Lontos currently serves as senior project manager for a major adaptive reuse project converting commercial office space into an ambulatory center for Weill Cornell Medicine in Midtown Manhattan.

Monica Ciavarelli — senior project manager: Monica Ciavarelli brings over 21 years of experience in architecture, design, and construction management, with deep expertise in complex healthcare environments across New York. Her dual background as both designer and builder enables effective stakeholder coordination and proactive problem-solving in active hospital settings. Since joining Group PMX in 2021, she has managed the on-site transformation of the NYC H+H/South Brooklyn Health campus — including the $803 million, LEED Silver-certified Ruth Bader Ginsburg Hospital — and currently oversees a complex sprinkler infrastructure upgrade across ten buildings at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center. She was recognized as an Outstanding Woman Builder by the Women Builders Council in 2024.’

Tim Kiser, AIA, NCARB — senior project manager: Tim Kiser joined Group PMX in early 2025 with 18 years of experience leading complex projects across the corporate, higher education, healthcare, and retail sectors. A registered architect in Delaware and Pennsylvania, his integrated design and project management background allows him to drive projects from concept through construction with precision. His portfolio includes the FinTech Innovation Hub and STAR Campus Tower at the University of Delaware, and he currently serves as a project manager on the multi-phase modernization of an approximately 500,000-s/f corporate campus in Wilmington for a global financial services client.

Samir Rafla, CCM, DBIA, PMP, PSP, RMP — senior project controls manager: With more than 22 years of specialized experience in project controls, Samir Rafla brings deep expertise in scheduling, cost management, risk analysis, and integrated program controls for large-scale capital projects. Holding five industry certifications, he has supported some of the nation’s and world’s most complex public- and private-sector initiatives across transit, aviation, infrastructure, healthcare, hospitality, cultural, corporate, criminal justice, and resiliency sectors.
