2023 Ones to Watch Rising Stars: Laura Yang, DBI Projects

Laura Yang
Senior Project Manager
DBI Projects

Number of years at firm: 4

When I am not working, I am: Spending time with my family, playing tennis, and travelling.

One thing on my bucket list: I would love to travel with my family to Taiwan, which is the home country of my husband.

What recent project, transaction or accomplishment are you most proud of? I am very proud of the types of projects I work on, as they are incredibly meaningful to the communities which they serve. Over the past couple of years, I have been working on two new schools in the Bronx, both of which are scheduled for completion this summer. It makes me feel very accomplished and proud knowing that I’ve being with the project from the site selection phase, right up until the construction close-out and that all the hard work our team is putting in will benefit the next generation of kids.

What makes this nominee a RISING STAR?

“Not only is Laura an exceptional project leader, as she has proven as she nears the successful delivery of two complex school projects in the Bronx, but she is an excellent resource to the DBI team. Laura is always willing to impart her knowledge and assist others to get the best results for their projects, as well as her own.” - Christopher Tomlan, Partner, Senior Director at DBI Projects
