2023 Ones to Watch Rising Stars: Graham Christensen, Douglaston Development

Graham Christensen
Vice President, Market Rate Development
Douglaston Development

Number of years at firm: 8

One thing on my bucket list: I have always wanted to go helicopter snowboarding in British Columbia or Alaska.

When I am not working, I am: Snowboarding, golfing, and spending time with my wife and our Siberian Husky mutt named Sunny.

What recent project, transaction or accomplishment are you most proud of? A recent project that I am most proud of is 3Eleven, Manhattan’s largest new luxury multifamily building with 938 apartments (703 market rate and 235 affordable units) as well as 60,000 s/f of amenity spaces. I have worked on this project for eight years and had the pleasure of collaborating with a diverse spectrum of people who have helped make this project possible. Not only is it satisfying to see this project come together, but it is also incredibly rewarding to deliver a new residential offering at a time when new housing developments in New York City are limited.

What makes this nominee a RISING STAR?
“Graham is an integral member of the team and has played a key role in bringing 3Eleven to fruition over the last several years from the project’s earliest stages to completion. Graham continues to do an incredible job helping to lead the charge on our market rate development pipeline.” - Steven Charno, President at Douglaston Development
