2023 Ones to Watch Rising Stars: Emily Sappol, Time Equities, Inc.

Emily Sappol
Associate Attorney
Time Equities, Inc.

Number of years at firm: 2.5

One thing on my bucket list: To buy a house in the Hamptons for my family to spend each summer together.

When I am not working, I am: Spending quality time with my 9-year-old nephew by attending his youth baseball games and taking him to Mets games at Citi Field.

What recent project, transaction or accomplishment are you most proud of? I recently completed my first commercial real estate financing as lead attorney. The loan transaction was complex, with post-closing obligations regarding ongoing repairs and escrows. After almost a year of negotiations, my attention to detail and desire to reach an equitable solution for my client and the lender helped close the loan. While I represented the borrower, both the lender and their counsel complemented my quick thinking and problem solving ability and have requested to work with me on future transactions that our clients may have.

What makes this nominee a RISING STAR?
“Emily has quickly established herself as an integral part of our company. Emily grasps complex concepts to close CRE acquisitions, financings and leases and adapts to the ever-changing investment landscape. In a short period, Emily has laid the foundation to continue rising in our organization and in the CRE industry.” - Max Pastor, Executive Vice President & Director of Acquisitions at Time Equities, Inc.
