2022 Women in Professional Services: Michelle Samaroo, BEB Capital

Michelle Samaroo
Director of Accounting
BEB Capital

In the last 12 months, what was your TOP career highlight? I was recently promoted to accounting director in 2022. This was an incredibly great honor to me because I’ve been at BEB Capital since 2002. I started in the accounts payable and receivable department and have grown with the firm over the past 20 years.

In the last 12 months how have you helped your industry grow through professional creativity, innovation and leadership? As accounting director, I oversee the financial reporting process for BEB’s new joint venture acquisitions. The quarterly and monthly reports are used to forecast the upcoming financial landscape and determine future growth strategies for BEB. This is critical in our evaluation of deals, specifically ones involving our joint ventures.

What advice would you give the next generation of women in your industry? Always strive for excellence. Set high goals and expectations, and work to achieve those goals. You’ll be surprised how much more you achieve by continuously setting aspirational goals and doing your best to meet them.
