What is the best advice you received in 2021, and who was it from?
The best advice I received in 2021 was from the Bible during an in depth study. Nehemiah 8:10. The Joy of the Lord is your Strength. This means that joy is the most precious gift we have and we should always focus on finding joy, giving joy, and experiencing joy. How does this relate to my work as an architect, mentor and professor? Creating joy in my designs, business relationships and teaching style has now become the main focus. The money, referrals and awards will come as a result. This new revelation has changed my life more than anything else. Of course, being a proficient professional is important, but that too comes from finding joy in my work.
