What was the biggest lesson you learned while working during the pandemic?
Lead-based paint laws in New York are going to be highly regulated. We will see more audits and HPD Violations as the city will crack down on making sure New York landlords are in compliance. We are already seeing this rise. New York City landlords will need to make sure they hire an EPA lead inspector for risk assessment to test their units for lead-based paint, remediate, make sure their staff has the proper training, and be in compliance with NYC Local Law 1 of 2004 and its amendments.
