In the past year, what project, transaction or accomplishment are you most proud of?
I’m very proud of the work we are doing at the Museum of Early Trades and Crafts in Madison, NJ. Built in 1899, it was originally the town’s library and has a unique layout and architectural elements. We have been part of their multi-phase restoration project to address moisture issues in the interior. Many times, when museums and other public buildings want to remain operational while our work goes on, it can be a challenge to minimize our presence. Since this museum highlights craftsmanship, our conservators got to be part of the museum’s mission to educate the public about our work. It’s always fulfilling to collaborate with clients who truly value what we have to offer, and the teams at METC and Historic Building Architects have been wonderful to work with.
