How do you contribute to your community or your profession?
Working in the field of site civil engineering has allowed me to be a part of the redevelopment and restoration of the community I grew up in. I am humbled by the opportunity to help my community advance.

What led you to your current profession?
As a child, I was always interested in learning how things are put together. I was lucky enough to have a lot of role models growing up that were always willing to teach me a new trade. When preparing for college one of my role models introduced me to the field of civil engineering.

What do you like most about your job?
Every project is like a new puzzle. The client will describe the desired finish product and it is up to the team of engineers, architects, and contractors to put it together. All while meeting the guidelines established by the governing agencies. The game is dynamic as teams and guidelines are forever changing. The pride in completing a project and the knowledge obtained from the process is what I like most about my job.

What can our political leaders do to increase equality in the workplace?
Equality in the workplace should be on the agenda of all political leaders. If you are willing to put in the work you shouldn’t be discriminated against based on race, gender, nationality, or religion. I believe as a country we have made great advancements towards equality in the workplace and I would like to see the trend continue.

Which project, deal, or transaction was the “game-changer” in the advancement of your career?
As a young engineer, it is hard to categorize any of the work I have been a part of as a “game-changer.” However, every project offers new challenges and opportunities to learn from and apply to the next.

Who or what inspires you?
I am driven by the role models in my life who taught me to always put your best foot forward and never be afraid to learn something new. I am inspired by the professionals I work with that live by these words.  My supervisors have taught me that even after years of experience, you can still learn something new every day.

If your life were made into a movie, what actor would you want to portray you?
Clint Eastwood

What social media platform do you use the most professionally?
