2020 Ones to Watch: Kimberly Quintano, Ingram Yuzek Gainen Carroll & Bertolotti LLP

Name: Kimberly Quintano

Company: Ingram Yuzek Gainen Carroll & Bertolotti LLP

Title: Associate

Education: J.D., Fordham University School of Law; B.A., Loyola University Maryland

Which project, deal, or transaction was the “game-changer” in the advancement of your career?
As a second year associate, I was assigned to take over a multi-million dollar construction lawsuit from a more senior associate who was leaving the firm. Summary judgment motions had just been filed days before I stepped in. Despite feeling a bit in over my head those first few weeks, I quickly brought myself up to speed on the matter, and, over time, my confidence has grown immensely as I’ve worked closely with the handling partner to see the matter through complex summary judgment motions, a successful trial, post-trial motion practice and two still-pending appeals.

What do you like most about your job?
I am lucky enough to work in a truly collaborative environment. I have been able to learn and grow in my career because I am able to count on my colleagues and our team. We all work together toward a common goal, and should an issue arise, we work out a solution together, without criticism.

If your life were made into a movie, what actor would you want to portray you?
I’d pick Emma Watson because I can relate to her ambitious personality and ability to bounce back from setbacks.

What social media platform do you use the most professionally?
I find LinkedIn to be a very practical and resourceful social media tool. I like keeping up to date with activities my clients and colleagues are involved in.
