How do you contribute to your community or your profession?
I am focused on bringing sound and sustainable land use planning to communities in and around New York City. I am vice chair of the Planning Accreditation Board, which accredits university programs in North America leading to degrees in urban planning, and I also recently led a task force on innovation to convene ideas on how the planning field is changing and how innovation is occurring in both planning practice and the academic world. I am also involved in the American Planning Association’s New York Metro Chapter and previously chaired the chapter’s Young Planners Group.
