What was your most notable project, deal, or transaction in 2019?
The new Dash’s Market on Hertel Ave. is a 45,000 s/f success story in New Urbanism. This accessible, human-scaled urban design is the result of Wendel’s Master Builder approach and collaboration between nearly all of our technical groups. Dash’s on Hertel is more than just an urban grocery store; along with the meat and fish market, deli and ready-made meals, one will find a coffee shop and 2nd floor common areas for community events. The progressive mixed-use addition fits in the neighborhood, with its brick façades and attention to the surrounding homes and businesses, while embracing contemporary design concepts like daylighting and adhering to the new Buffalo Green Code.
