2019 Ones to Watch: Shlomi Bagdadi, TriState Commercial Realty

Name: Shlomi Bagdadi

Title: CEO and President

Company Name: TriState Commercial Realty

Year that you entered your current field? 2011

What do you consider to be your greatest professional accomplishment in the past 12 months?
Being awarded the Brownstoner RADD Award, which recognizes the top 50 leaders in Brooklyn’s commercial real state, architecture, and property development industries. Receiving this type of acknowledgment is always reassuring that I am on the right path.

Who or what do you attribute to your success?
I attribute my success to my entire team of office administration and agents, who have been with me almost since the company’s inception. They also believed in Tri State Commercial and that we could grow together as a firm and family.

What advice can you offer to someone who is interested in a career in your industry?
I would tell them to be patient and focus on one thing. Commercial real estate can be overwhelming at times with the amount of dedication it takes to be successful. However, if you have a goal in mind and prioritize the actions you must take in order to achieve them, all-the-while understanding that it takes some time--then you’ll make it far in this industry.

What was your favorite thing to do as a kid?
I used to love photography and playing around with video editing when I was younger. Capturing a moment in time or being able to create images and videos have always fascinated me.
