2019 Ones to Watch: Justin Rostoff, Klein Slowik PLLC

Name: Justin Rostoff, Esq.

Title: Attorney

Company Name: Klein Slowik PLLC

Address: 90 Broad Street, Suite 602, NY, NY 10004

What do you consider to be your greatest success in the past 12 months?
My greatest success in the past 12 months was joining the law firm of Klein Slowik PLLC. As a transplant from Boston, Massachusetts, nothing else could have put me in such a position (professionally and personally) to make my way into the New York City real estate atmosphere. Partners Stuart Klein and Christopher Slowik are walking encyclopedias on the laws regulating New York City zoning, building/construction, and design professionals.

?What advice can you offer to someone who is just getting started in your industry?
Surround yourself with people who have knowledge and expertise in areas that are unfamiliar to you; and, although cliché, network, network, network. However, be sincere and build a rolodex of relationships not just opportunities.

How have your life experiences impacted who you are professionally?
The Rostoffs have been in real estate development for nearly one-half century. As a child I was walking development sites (safety permitting, of course), and other built properties listening to everyone from managers to inspectors to grounds keepers. Yet after everyone convened, the information was conveyed to the respective attorneys. This imprinted the importance of trustworthy, competent legal counsel in the real estate industry.

What was your favorite thing to do when you were a kid?
Ride around the coast of North Shore of Massachusetts with friends to play pick-up baseball and basketball with the neighboring towns; and, spend quality time with my only cousins, Rachel & Jacob.
