If you have had a mentor in your career, who was it and what did they teach you?
I have been fortunate enough to have quite a few mentors over the past several years, and I believe all of them have similar qualities and ethos that I look for in an advisor. I was taught to “not sweat the small stuff” and “remember that taking care of your life is just as important as taking care of your work.” Additionally, I learned how to work collaboratively with teammates; how to effectively communicate with one another; and how to build a relationship of trust with my colleagues to achieve the same goals for the project.
