2018 Women in Real Estate and Construction Services: Kathy Pasquale, JRS Architect, P.C.

Name: Kathy Pasquale

Title: Vice President, Business Development & Marketing

Company Name: JRS Architect, P.C.

Years in your current field: 12

What professional organizations or associations are you a member of? CoreNet Global, Long Island Business Development Council, CIBS

What trends are you seeing so far this year in your field?

JRS sees design playing a huge role and the ultimate goal is to design spaces that help make them more efficient, productive, and inspiring. Also, we are seeing the desire for “unconventional” work areas. This design trend was spearheaded by the millennial generation and their preference for open spaces and collaborative work environments.

What was your greatest professional accomplishment in 2017?

I was presented with an Appreciation Award from my fellow CoreNet Global Board Members at our Annual Golf Outing which benefits Make-A-Wish Metro New York. It was presented in recognition of my commitment and dedication to the Long Island Chapter. That meant a great deal to me.

What was your most notable project 2017?

There are several projects in 2017 that I am proud to have been a part of but one in particular is a well-respected financial institution, Santander Bank. JRS Architect was one of the firms selected to provide architectural and interior design services for the bank’s retail division.

If you have had a mentor in your career, who was it and what did they teach you?

It’s difficult to narrow it down to just one. I have been very fortunate throughout my career(s) to have had many mentors. Each one provided me with their wisdom, guidance and professional expertise which helped me to become the business woman I am today. I am very grateful for their support. I can’t stress enough how important it is for anyone starting their career to find a good mentor they can emulate.

When I am not working I am…

That’s an easy one. In the spring/summer/fall, if I am not working you can always find me on my boat. That’s truly “My Happy Place”. In the winter, I am thinking about being on my boat! Obviously not a winter person!
