Name: Lynn Weinig

Title: Special Counsel

Company Name: Windels Marx Lane & Mittendorf, LLP

What are some of your biggest accomplishments in the last 12 months?

After 25+ years at my prior firm, I joined Windels Marx in May 2017. Since my arrival, I’ve been involved in some very interesting, complex real estate projects on behalf of prominent developers, several religious institutions and a blue chip technology company.

What blogs, resources, podcasts or influencers have helped you?

My commute is pretty lengthy and I like to use the time to listen to meditation podcasts–Deepak Chopra is one of my favorites.

How important is it for women to create a personal brand?

Female lawyers–particularly in real estate–are in a crowded field. It’s important to use every opportunity to reinforce one’s expertise and unique qualities, but to also have a strong network of support amongst colleagues and peers. I’m enjoying being a part of Windels Marx Women, which has not only introduced me to lawyers across the firm that are outside of the real estate industry, it’s also exposed me to networking and other opportunities to extend my brand.

In one word, describe yourself:

Resilient

What do you do like to do for fun?

My practice has been very busy but my husband and I managed to get away to Memphis recently, where we visited the Civil Rights Museum, Elvis’ home Graceland, and enjoyed the city’s culinary treats.
