2018 Ones to Watch: Petro Zinkovetsky, Attorney at Zinkovetsky Law Firm

Name: Petro Zinkovetsky, Esq.

Title: Attorney

Address: 230 Park Avenue, 32nd Floor, New York, NY 10169

Company: Zinkovetsky Law Firm

Year that you entered your current field? 2011

What are your professional goals for 2018?

I am focusing on continuing to grow my law firm in order to meet all of our clients’ needs. The firm has almost doubled in all parameters within the past 12 months. This has included a lot of searching for the right individuals who encompass our firm’s values, training employees, and planning long term for the future of the firm.

How do you motivate or inspire your colleagues?

I try to inspire and motivate everyone on my team by leading by example. By living the values I believe in, integrity, determination, and hard work, I believe others will be motivated to work in the same manner and strive to uphold these values as well.

As a team, we can then work together to achieve new heights.

How do you manage the work/life balance?

Achieving work/life balance in the legal field is no easy feat. It’s especially tough when you are passionate about the projects you work on. I try and block out my time even with long days at the office or when traveling for work. For example, I’ll try and block out a period of time every day where I can work out or have a meal with a friend and I make sure to talk to family in the mornings or evenings, even if only for 10 minutes.

How did you get your start in your current field?

I was always interested in and passionate about real estate, so it was only natural for me to work in this field. Throughout most of my career I was in one way or another involved with real estate and after starting my own law firm 6 years ago it became the main focus of my practice.
