What was your most notable project, deal, transaction or professional achievement in 2017?

One of the most notable environmental projects is the Redfern FRP redevelopment site located in Far Rockaway. The property encompasses a full city block and is being redeveloped into five buildings that include a mix of affordable residential and retail/community spaces.  This property was underutilized and has been historically industrial. As such, CA RICH is cleaning it up in cooperation with NYSDEC under the state Brownfield Cleanup Program (BCP) on behalf of our client.  What sets this cleanup apart is that we are implementing a three-phased systematic remedial approach coinciding with a four-to-six year construction schedule.  Consequently, application for Brownfield Tax Credits may be approved for the first phase while construction is ongoing. In so doing, our client can expect monies due sooner rather than later.
