What was your most notable project, deal, transaction or professional achievement in 2017?
MGNY’s most notable project for 2017 is the rehabilitation of The Roxy, a 1938 Art Deco building originally part of the former Jersey City Medical Center. We are currently converting and restoring the national landmark into 62 residential units. This is our third restoration of a national landmark within the complex and each presented their unique challenges, making for exciting projects and new experiences.
What was the best decision you made in 2017 and why?
One of the best decisions for 2017 was creating a social media presence with a business Facebook page, Instagram profile, and Houzz profile. We are enjoying keeping our clients, collaborators, and friends up to date with progress photos, new projects, and even our daily inspirations around New York City.
Who or what contributed to your success in 2017 and why?
My employees are my greatest asset. I can always count on their professionalism, their work ethic, and their dedication to the firm.
What trends will impact your business in 2018?
Social media will continue to be an important aspect of business, especially with websites like Houzz.com, where users have access to thousands of searchable photos, projects, and professionals. We hope to continue to create interesting and beautiful spaces that make a statement.
