2017 Year in Review: Jason Gold, Ariel Property Advisors

Name & Title: Jason Gold, Director of Investment Sales

Company Name: Ariel Property Advisors

Address: 122 East 42nd St, Suite 2405 NY, NY 10168

What was your most notable project, deal, transaction or professional achievement in 2017?

The greatest professional achievement in my career was being named one of the top sales brokers for the Commercial Observer’s 30 under 30. Being recognized for all my accomplishments and achievements in the short time I have been an investment sales broker is a testament that hard work and dedication pays off.

What was the best decision you made in 2017 and why?

The best decision in 2017 was getting married to my beautiful wife. After 5 years of dating, we finally tied the knot and it has given me a new purpose in life and makes me work even harder every single day. In addition, I was honored to be the moderator for the first Bisnow event in the Bronx, which had a turnout of more than 400 people, and discussed the multifamily and commercial real estate market.

Who or what contributed to your success in 2017 and why?

My determination, drive, and motivation has been the driving force behind my success, not only in 2017, but throughout my entire career. I am naturally a competitive person and being a real estate broker in NYC has pushed me to work harder and gain recognition in the real estate community.

What trends will impact your business in 2018?

The constant conversation about the Bronx and the attention it has garnered will continue to be the most impactful trend for my business looking ahead. As we saw the rezoning of Mott Haven revitalize the South Bronx by attracting the attention of institutional and private investors, it will be exciting to see how the rezoning of Jerome Ave. will affect local businesses and the market.
