How did you get your start in real estate?

I worked for a public accounting firm right out of college and had mostly real estate clients. I didn’t really like the accounting that I was doing for them, but I found that I really liked their business

What real estate associations or organizations are you a member of?

Real Estate:  WX and REBNY. I am also a member of the Executive Committee and serves as secretary of the Board for the Jewish Community Center in Manhattan, and also a Board Member of the Greater New York Council of Boy Scouts

What recent project or transaction are you most proud of?

I am most proud of my work in completing complex headquarters transactions for Indeed.com in Austin, Tex., (for 225,000 s/f) and in New York (for 125,000 s/f) .

What have been some of the benefits of being a mentor or having a mentor?

I am the head of the Women’s Group for JLL in New York to help promote the careers of the women at JLL. There aren’t very many senior female role models in real estate brokerage, and I am passionate about guiding and mentoring women through the ranks.

What time management strategies do you find to be the most effective for you?

Juggling my job and being a mom to two young boys – I have become good at balancing and multi-tasking. Best strategy for me is to make a list at the beginning of each day (or even the night before) and trying my best to make it through each day!

What is the best advice you have received and who was it from?

A few wise women before me have said, “You can have it all, just not at the same time!”
