What have been some of the benefits of being a mentor or having a mentor?

Having great mentors have enhanced and continue to define my career. They’re a sounding board to help with decisions, big or small, business or personal.  I appreciate that my mentors have invested in me on both a personal and professional level. When you find someone who cares about the two it makes a lasting impression.

I am always impressed at how they balance multiple roles so effortlessly. I love that I can learn everything about anything, merely by their example. I hope to pay it forward in the future!

What is the best advice you have received and who was it from?

It may sound generic and cliché, but, trust your instincts and yourself. I have heard this many times from a number of people in all walks of life from my current boss to the wisest woman I know (hi, mom!).
