How did you get your start in real estate?

I joined my family’s company in 2013 after 15 years in the publishing and agency side. Learning the complexity of the A/E/C industry is exciting.

What real estate associations or organizations are you a member of?

CMAA

What recent project or transaction are you most proud of?

I am most proud of developing the first Marketing Program and Brand Strategy for Holt Construction over the last 3 years.

What recent honor, achievement or recognition has meant the most to you and why?

Our firm was recently awarded the Pinnacle Award by the Rockland Business Association for our long-term contributions to the construction and development of the county that we were founded in and where our headquarters are – Rockland County, N.Y.

What have been some of the benefits of being a mentor or having a mentor?

Having strong mentors to surround myself with daily is the most important factor that enabled me to transition into the construction industry.

What time management strategies do you find to be the most effective for you?

Starting my day early gives me the extra time to organize and plan.

What is the best advice you have received and who was it from?

The best advice is a quote from my great grandfather, and founder of Holt, Fred Holt: “Success is 99% sweat and 1% luck.”
