Name: Amanda Gorozdi Title: Senior Associate Email: [email protected] Years in real estate: 4.5 years Company Name: Avison Young Year Founded: 1978 URL: www.avisonyoung.com Telephone: 516.962.5398 How did you get your start in real estate? I interned one summer during college in the analytics department of a commercial real estate firm. What real estate associations or organizations are you a member of? Commercial Industrial Brokerage Society What recent honor, achievement or recognition has meant the most to you and why? When I was appointed a council member of my company’s young leadership group consisting of over 200 brokers. It’s a great cooperative environment free of siloes where young professionals can trade best practices, develop relationships and support one another in their growth and development in the company. To be one of the seven leaders appointed to this position has been a great opportunity, experience, and honor. What time management strategies do you find to be the most effective for you? I find that when I am organized, I can set my priorities and schedule my time appropriately. Every night, I take at least 30 minutes, to plan the next day and I will not start my day until my time plan is complete. I find this helps tremendously in prioritizing tasks, determining what to delegate, and when I will need help from others. Being organized is just one extra step that can make the planning process a lot easier and saves a lot of time.
