12-13-2013 - Long Island Appraisal Institute to hold USPAP Update

The Long Island chapter of the Appraisal Institute will hold a National USPAP 7-Hour Update course on Dec. 13th­. This is a required course as part of NYS Appraiser 28-hour CE every two years. The course will be held at the Marriott Residence Inn, 9 Gerhard Rd. Sign in is at 8 a.m. with the course starting at 8:30 a.m. The course will end at 4:30 p.m. The presenter will be Robert Smith, MAI. Register at www.liappraisal.com

When Environmental Site Assessments (ESA) were first part of commercial real estate risk management, it was the lenders driving this requirement. When a borrower wanted a loan on a property, banks would utilize a list of “Approved Consultants” to order the report on both refinances and purchases.
