10-10-2013: REDC's Procurement Technical Assistance Center free October Program

Rockland Economic Development Corporation's Procurement Technical Assistance Center (REDC's PTAC) encourages businesses to attend its free Program on Thursday, October 10th, 2013 - How to do Business with New York State Procurement. New York State Procurement (NYSPro), within the Office of General Services (OGS), establishes Statewide contracts for commodities, services and technology that are available for use by thousands of State agencies, local governments, schools and other organizations authorized to use NYSPro contracts. Anne Samson, Assistant Director, NYSPro will present: The types of contracts NYSPro establishes; How to get on the NYSPro bidders list; How to market to individual State agencies; Detailed information for companies interested in selling to New York State, and more. Empire State Development (ESD) can help a business sell to New York State. Nancy Fisher, CEcD, EDFP, Deputy Director in the Procurement Unit of the Small Business Division of ESD will present: How to identify opportunities using the New York State Contract Reporter, and how to use the site for marketing information; Learn about the new NYS Contract Reporter website to be launched Fall 2013; and Understanding the state procurement system and bidding requirements.
