Rockland Economic Development Corporation's Procurement Technical Assistance Center (REDC's PTAC) encourages businesses to attend its free Program on March 13th - How to do Business with Orange County. The Orange County Buy Local Initiative is based on the importance of purchasing from the local supplier in order to have a positive impact on the local economy. Sixty-two cents of every dollar spent with a local supplier remains in the local economy thus improving the economic livelihood of the community and its residents. The Orange County Department of General Services will present and familiarize attendees with the County procurement process and assist local business owners interested in becoming suppliers with the necessary steps to become active suppliers of the various commodities the County purchases. Businesses will find out what they need to know to maximize their opportunities with Orange County from: James P.
