Roslyn, NY Laurence Ross and Christen Portelli, managing principals of Highcap Group, a Manhattan-based commercial brokerage firm have negotiated the joint venture between the owners of The Roslyn Hotel and My Father’s Place, a music venue that operated from 1971 to 1987. After a 30-year absence, the club will be returning in early 2018. Ross represented My Father’s Place while Portelli acted on behalf of the hotel ownership. The pair said that “after a lengthy and sensitive negotiation that started with the previous owners, My Father’s Place will be returning to the town where it all started, much to the delight of those who frequented the club back in its heyday.” They also brokered the sale of the hotel in early 2017 for $14.1 million, which will undergo a complete renovation turning it into a boutique-style operation.

The venue will be in the form of a supper club, where patrons can come listen to good music and have fine dining in a comfortable setting.

“Just the name My Father’s Place brings a smile & great memories back to those that frequented the club and we are glad we can be a part of its new story,” said Ross and Portelli.
