PWC awards 20 under 40 Outstanding Women in Construction

20 Under 40 Outstanding Women in Construction honorees.

New York, NY PWC had its Annual Holiday Party at Bryant Park Grill. At the event, PWC gave out its PWC Champion Award and announced its 20 Under 40 Outstanding Women in Construction. Chelsea LeMar, PWC’s executive director opened the event by welcoming attendees and presenting the successes of PWC in 2017, including opening two new chapters in Philadelphia and Boston, as well as a mentorship program for emerging and experienced professionals. LeMar also spoke about what to expect in 2018. 

Amy Beckman, principal at HOK, and VP of PWC awarded PWC’s Champion Award to Barbara Armand, president and CEO of Armand Corporation and PWC’s former president for her incredible contributions to the organization. Barbara was given a piece of artwork by Kristin Texeira, an NYC-based artist.

Nicole Woolard of Duane Morris and PWC director and secretary, Melinda Johnson of STV, PWC director, Shalini Mohan of SM Design & Consulting, PWC director, and Sasha Durcan of Ryder Construction announced the 20 Under 40 Outstanding Women in Construction. The recipients of the award were: Shillivia Baptiste, CEO, Laland Baptiste; Andrea Barragan, construction manager, Mamais Construction, Jessica Corriere, project manager, AKF; Brynn Crawford Lang, project controller, Gilbane; Kelly Eustice, resident engineer, PANYNJ; Kelly Floropoulos, CEO, Amiantos Environmental, Pilar Gonzalez, project manager, American Industries Corporation; Tiffany Griffis, business development analyst, STV; Jessie Jaime, construction manager, Jacobs; Gentry Lock, Landscape architect/associate, Stantec; Safeena Mecklai, associate vice president, Capalino + Company; Francesca Meola, senior associate, senior structural engineer, HOK; Nichol Nunez, project manager, Skanska; Kasey Pace, sales, Cassone; Lori Peters, senior director of marketing, Triax Technologies; Melissa Schwartz, vice president, financial planning & analysis, AECOM; Sarah Stolzman, construction project manager, HFZ Capital; Rachael Werner, sales executive, Siemens; Margaret Wrzos, assistant project manager-Structural, AECOM Tishman; and Allison Robin Zampetti, principal, Levien & Company. All awardees were given a bronze sculpture made by an Brooklyn-based woman artist, Rebecca Raney.

It was an inspiring evening with an energetic crowd ready to jump into 2018 with new connections and unmatched motivation to bring big wins to the industry.
