BOMA New York holds 2018 Pinnacle Awards Ceremony

New York, NY The Building Owners and Managers Association of Greater New York (BOMA NY) held its 2018 Pinnacle Awards Ceremony on Thursday, February 22nd.

The 2018 Pinnacle Awards brought together 750 guests in what marked one of the biggest nights of the commercial real estate industry. The ceremony included nominees across 10 different categories. The highlight of the evening included the Grand Pinnacle Award for the winner with the highest overall score across all categories except the Earth Award. 

“Embracing innovation and exceeding expectations is what the Pinnacle Awards are all about,” said BOMA NY president Ronald  Zeccardi, VP and general manager of The Moinian Group. “The pioneering spirit and tireless dedication demonstrated by the nominees makes this a special celebration of N.Y. and real estate leaders, and it is an honor to recognize that excellence tonight.”

Local Pinnacle Award winners qualify to compete at the Regional, Mid-Atlantic The Outstanding Building of the Year (TOBY) awards and regional winners are then automatically entered in to the BOMA International TOBY competition. This year’s Pinnacle Award winners include: 

• Outstanding Local Member of the Year: Gail Duke, RPA, CPM, NYL Investors LLC. 

• Historical Building of the Year: Vornado Realty Trust’s One Park Ave.

• Earth Building of the Year: SL Green Realty Corp.’s 1515 Broadway. 

• Renovated Building of the Year: CBRE, Inc.’s 280 Park Ave. 

• Operating Building of the Year (100,000 – 249,999 s/f): JLL’s IAC Building.

• Operating Building of the Year (500,000 – 1 million s/f): Kushner Cos.’ Dumbo Heights. 

• Operating Building of the Year (Over 1 million s/f): The Durst Org.’s One World Trade Center. 

• Corporate Facility of the Year: Tishman Speyer Properties’ Hearst Tower. 

• Manager of the Year (3 to 10 Years: Alex Trotta, CPA of CBRE, Inc. 

• Manager of the Year (Over 10 Years): Sharon Hart-Fanelli, CPM, RPA, LEED GA of Cushman & Wakefield, Inc.
