AKRF, Inc. acquires EnviroMet, LLC

EnviroMet, LLC, an air quality consultant with expertise in air permitting, compliance, and air impact analysis for utilities, is now a division of AKRF, Inc., a leading environmental, engineering and planning consultant. "AKRF is pleased to welcome EnviroMet to our team," said Ed Applebome, president of AKRF. The EnviroMet team of meteorologists and air quality specialists brings over four decades of expertise in the areas of air permitting, air impact analysis (dispersion modeling), emissions estimation, site evaluation, due diligence investigation, regulatory analysis, meteorological and climatological investigations, and risk assessments. They have specialized experience in providing permitting and complex modeling services for both coal and gas-fired power plants, as well as a variety of specialized facilities including natural gas pipelines, steel and coke-making facilities, liquefied natural gas (LNG) facilities, and government installations.
EnviroMet has been providing high-quality air permitting and modeling services for a range of clients throughout the U.S. including PSEG Services Corporation, FirstEnergy Corporation, LS Power, ArcelorMittal, Sunflower Electric Power Corporation, Shell Exploration and Production Company, Kinder Morgan (previously El Paso), among many others.
For over 30 years, AKRF has provided the energy industry with a variety of services, including Section 316(b) compliance, natural resources, air permitting, acoustics, environmental assessments, and environmental impact statements. The addition of EnviroMet's specialized practice expands the scope of AKRF's strong air quality modeling, permitting, and compliance practice.
