Bronx-Manhattan North Association of Realtors' 84th Annual Realtor Banquet

"Over 500 members and professionals from throughout the Greater New York area attended the 84th Annual Realtor Baquet Celebration and networking event sponsored by the BRONX-MANHATTAN North Association of REALTORS. Elected officials, high ranking officers of banks, corporations and successful real estate companies were present at the 84th Annual Banquet," according to George Bookis, 2008 President. Networking was enhanced for the 2008 Banquet by Guest Speakers NYC Comptroller William C. Thompson and NYC Police Commissioner Raymond M. Kelly, the honorees and prominent guests in attendance. According to Nunzio Del Greco, Chief Executive Officer, "prior Guest Speakers have included Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg; former Mayor Rudolph Giuliani; former first lady and United States Senator for New York State Hillary Clinton; Congressman Charles Schumer now Senator; Dominic Chianese "Uncle Junior" of the Sopranos; Governor Nelson Rockefeller; United States Senator Jacob Javitz; Mayor John Lindsay; Secretary of State Hon. Randy Daniels; United States Attorney General Robert Kennedy; Bronx Borough President Adolfo Carrion; Sandy Treadwell, Secretary of State for New York; and others". "Network for Success is the slogan which best describes this organization and is reinforced with each event," according to George Bookis, 2008 President. The BRONX-MANHATTAN North Association of REALTORS (BMAR) is a professional trade association officially representing the real estate industry since 1924 and is the local chapter of the New York State and National Association of Realtors (NAR) with over 1,300,000 members. BMAR is composed of a broad base of professionals including licensed real estate brokers and agents, multi-dwelling property owners; building service vendors and suppliers unlicensed property managers; attorneys; appraisers; banks; mortgage companies; fuel service and energy companies; insurance companies and insurance brokers; contractors and other companies servicing the real estate industry.
