Zinter joins CPC

's new Rochester officeRochester, NY According to The Community Preservation Corporation, Inc. (CPC), one of the leading not-for-profit affordable housing and neighborhood revitalization lenders, Miriam Zinter, former project manager at the Greater Rochester Housing Partnership, has joined as a mortgage officer at CPC's new office in Rochester. From 75 College Ave., also commonly known as the United Way Building, Zinter will work closely with local developers, housing officials, and community partners to increase CPC's presence in the greater Rochester and Buffalo areas. "CPC has a long history in my hometown of Rochester, with more than $90 million invested in developments over the last 20 years. I am especially excited to bring on a widely respected expert to support our efforts to revitalize Rochester's housing stock," said Rafael Cestero, president and CEO, CPC. "Miriam has 25 years of intimate knowledge of the local real estate market, and I look forward to working with her to continue building strategic partnerships and bring much-needed capital to local communities." "I have worked closely with CPC in many different capacities and am excited to be joining an affordable housing non-profit that has consistently provided capital for important developments in the greater Rochester area," said Zinter. "Like CPC, I believe in the profound impact that quality affordable housing can have in local neighborhoods and look forward to building upon the great work CPC has done by collaborating with developers, government officials, and community partners." Zinter joined CPC from the Greater Rochester Housing Partnership, where she spent 10 years as a Project Manager responsible for the management and oversight of the HOME Rochester program. Among other duties, she provided technical assistance to the Community Housing Development Organization (CHDO) and not-for-profit developers who participated in this acquisition rehabilitation program. Prior to working for the Housing Partnership, Zinter operated her own housing consulting firm, Zinter Housing Consultants, LLC. She also worked as a Senior Community Planner with the City of Rochester, developing 200 single-family residential homes through the City's HOME Expo program. Zinter earned her Bachelor of Arts in English and Psychology from the State University of New York at Geneseo and received certifications in Economic and Housing Development and Urban Planning from the Pratt Institute and Residential Appraisal Methods & Techniques from the Brockport State University.
