Empire Commercial Construction chosen for College Town Jimmy John's

Empire Commercial Construction, a retail-specific division of regional general contractor Taylor-The Builders, have been awarded the contract for construction and project management services for the new Jimmy John's location located in the new College Town Rochester development. Empire has teamed with national franchisee, Spin The Planet Enterprises, for design and build-out of the new location located at 1371 Mount Hope Ave., Building #6. Construction is currently underway with a project completion date slated for late November. "Empire is pleased to establish a relationship with the Jimmy John's team as they expand their footprint in the Rochester area," said Empire president, Jayne Penepent. "As a leader in retail-specific general contracting, Empire is committed to efficiently deliver first-quality retail and commercial space at the best possible price, and this project will be no different." College Town is seen as an extension of the community surrounding the University of Rochester's main 534-acre River Campus, and the University of Rochester Medical Center. Empire's parent company, TAYLOR - The Builders, is currently completing construction of Buildings #2, featuring a 4-story, 220,000 s/f residential/retail building, with a 2-story Barnes & Noble Bookstore, and Building #5, featuring a 3-story, approximately 69,000SF residential/retail building, with street-level shops and restaurants.
