What's the next big project you want to tackle?
With the sheer amount of interesting, new development projects going on in the city, it is tough to identify a single "big" project that I want to tackle. I do think that it is an exciting time for development in the city, and not only in Manhattan, due to the variety of current developments going up. I would like to work on a range of projects, from the large, ultra-luxury offerings being constructed in Brooklyn, to the smaller, more personalized and "creative" buildings being worked on in downtown Manhattan.
What was the most important thing you learned in school?
The most important thing I learned in school is the idea that one must never stop learning. The "real world" and the "student years" are often seen as separate chapters of one's life; however, one must remain curious and willing to learn new things far beyond graduation, especially as an attorney. I make it a point to apply that concept every day.
What is one goal—either personal or professional—that you would like to accomplish during your lifetime?
One goal that I would like to achieve professionally is to place myself in a position to mentor young attorneys entering the real estate practice. I have been fortunate to have wonderful mentors throughout my career and would like to pay it forward. I truly believe good mentorship is crucial to the professional and personal development of a young attorney.
