What was your most notable project, deal, transaction, or professional achievement in 2018?
2018 was an exceptional year with the continued growth of my interior design firm and with many exciting projects coming on board. As I look back on the year, I am especially pleased with the recognition I received for my work to promote the advancement of women in the industry through member-to-member networking by developing CREW Connections and CREW New York’s awards program. In June, I received CREW New York’s Impact Award for Career Advancement for Women. For my professional achievements as an architect, I was inducted into Real Estate Forum’s Women of Influence Hall of Fame in September.

What market trend(s) will impact your industry in 2019?
Ecommerce retailers building stores is a trend that has been growing for the last few years and will likely continue into 2019. Brick and mortar retail is not dead. Far from it. We are seeing a massive readjustment in retail with many stores fading away. At the same time, we will see emerging retailers offering new and exciting retail concepts that will result in thriving stores. Many of these will come from ecommerce as more online retailers realize that the next logical step is to build and to expand into physical locations.

Do you have any New Year’s Resolution(s)?
I don’t do New Year’s Resolutions. I prefer to take it day by day and make every day memorable and to do my best to contribute to the world around me.
