WX New York Women Executives in Real Estate partners with Habitat for Humanity NYC

New York, NY WX New York Women Executives in Real Estate (WX) has partnered with Habitat for Humanity New York City (NYC) for the 2015 Women Build Fundraiser and Build Day. With two teams totaling 20 WX members, WX raised $200,405 which will transform lives by building quality homes for families in need and support the cause of affordable housing in New York City. WX was named a top team by Sabrina Lippman, Director of Corporate Partnerships at Habitat for Humanity NYC for being a top fundraiser in support of the cause. WX is proud to have participated in the onsite build in Queens with multiple teams. WX Board member and co-captain of the WX Build Teams, Beth Zafonte of Akerman LLP noted, “This initiative brought our members together for a high impact philanthropic initiative that we will not forget. As women leaders in the commercial real estate industry in New York City, WX is extremely proud to have actively participated in the renovation of a home for a deserving family." Founded in 1984 as an independent affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, Habitat NYC builds in the five boroughs of New York City, building homes for ownership by families and individuals in need. In addition to building homes, Habitat NYC is a leading advocate for affordable housing. With the help of thousands of volunteers every year, Habitat NYC has served more than 380 families in the five boroughs of New York City with their permanent housing needs. WX is thrilled to have participated with such a momentous project and charitable organization.
