JLL's Glickman, Wasserberger, Fanuzzi and Biasotti selected to market 1166 Avenue of the Americas

New York, NY Edward Minskoff, president of Edward J. Minskoff Equities Inc., has selected JLL to lease the available space at 1166 Avenue of the Americas. The firm will provide a full range of marketing and transaction services for available space on the 2nd floor through the 21st floor at the class A, 1.6 million s/f office building. The JLL team handling the agency leasing assignment is led by Paul Glickman, vice chairman; Cynthia Wasserberger, managing director; Jonathan Fanuzzi, executive vice president; and Diana Biasotti, senior vice president. The group will work closely with Jeffrey Sussman, executive vice president, with Edward J. Minskoff Equities Inc. “This iconic Manhattan office tower is literally at the epicenter of Midtown, and offers a terrific view of the city from all four sides of the property,” said Glickman. “The building is ideally located, with links to Bryant Park to the south and Rockefeller Center to the north. Offering convenient proximity to all three major commuting hubs — Grand Central Terminal, Times Square / Port Authority and Penn Station — 1166 Avenue of the Americas provides unparalleled access to transportation serving all parts of Manhattan.” Minskoff is launching a multimillion-dollar capital improvement program at the office tower, retaining Gensler to re-design the lobby, lighting, outdoor canopies and security features. Signature pieces of art that include Roy Lichtenstein’s Modern and Amerind tapestries, and Isamu Noguchi’s Octetra sculpture will be showcased in the building lobby. These new features are slated for completion in mid-2016. The 44-story 1166 Avenue of the Americas was designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill and constructed in 1974. JLL will initially lease and market approximately 120,000 s/f of space at the building, including the entire third floor, totaling 39,075 s/f; and the entire 20th floor and 21st floor, totaling 40,240 s/f each. Additional blocks of space will become available at 1166 Avenue of the Americas in 2017 and 2021. JLL and Minskoff have collaborated on two other high-profile New York office buildings — 51 Astor Place and 101 Avenue of the Americas — both of which are now 100 percent leased.
