Wentz appointed associate principal at Gran Kriegel

Christine Wentz, Gran Kriegel Associates Architects + Planner

According to Gran Kriegel Associates Architects + Planner, Christine Wentz, AIA, has been named associate principal. Formerly a senior project manager, she will be working with managing partner David Kriegel to oversee all active projects and maintain the firm's commitment to the highest levels of quality. She will also continue her management role on the office's design commissions.
Wentz is an architect with 20 years of experience, focused primarily on institutional work. Her portfolio includes public and private schools, universities, libraries, religious institutions and supportive housing. Her career demonstrates excellent design and problem solving, thorough document production and coordination, and strong management and communication skills at every phase of a project, from feasibility through construction.
At Gran Kriegel she has been responsible for some of the firm's most challenging projects, including the transformation of the 140,000 s/f former Brooklyn Family Court into a 1,000-seat high school for the NYC School Construction Authority, the new 650-seat PS/IS 312 currently under construction in Queens West, and a 54,000 s/f supportive housing project in the Bronx sponsored by the Volunteers of America.
Prior to joining Gran Kriegel in 2005, Wentz was an associate at PKSB Architects. She earned a B.A. in Literature at Yale University and a master of Architecture at Columbia University.
