Weiss of T. Weiss Realty Corp. arranges 13,656 s/f lease to Marshall Dennehey Warner Coleman & Goggin PC
T. Weiss Realty Corp. has signed a 13,656 s/f lease with national law firm Marshall Dennehey Warner Coleman & Goggin PC at its Melville Corporate Center I, bringing occupancy at the 105 Maxess Rd. location to 94%.
Marshall Dennehey will occupied the new premises on March 1st, joining such other national tenants in the building as Lincoln Financial Group, Environmental Resources Management, Estee Lauder and Crump Life Insurance Services.
The new office suite, previously occupied by Crawford & Co., will be a relocation and expansion of an existing Hauppauge office for the law firm. Philadelphia-based Marshall Dennehey has 17 other offices spanning Delaware, Florida, New Jersey, Ohio and Pennsylvania. Founded in 1962, the law firm focuses on civil defense litigation under four core departments including casualty, professional liability, health care and workers' compensation.
Marshall Dennehey anticipates that about 23 employees will work at this new location servicing the firm's existing New York clients in asbestos litigation, general property casualty litigation and professional liability defense. The move occurs on the heels of a recent merger between Marshall Dennehey and Jones Hirsch Connors Miller & Bull, P.C., which will be finalized by mid-2014.
Marshall Dennehey moved to the Melville Corporate Center I because of the building's location, it's amenities, and the proximity to the Rte.110 corridor.
"Our new offices in Melville are considerably larger and provide advances in technological communications," said Anna DiLonardo, shareholder and managing attorney for the Long Island office. "We anticipate future growth, and from our central Long Island location, we are well positioned to accommodate that growth and meet future needs, while at the same time continuing to provide quality legal services to our clients."
David Godfrey of CBRE, Inc. represented Marshall Dennehey, while Craig Weiss of T. Weiss Realty Corp. represented the landlord in-house.
"We are pleased that Marshall Dennehey has chosen to locate at Melville Corporate Center I," Craig Weiss, managing director of the family owned real estate developer. "This further proves that the Melville/Rte. 110 corridor has become a central location for Long Island business, and we are looking forward to the continued migration of corporations and professional firms to this region."
