Wartels of Cresa reps tenant in 6,200 s/f lease

AMOREPACIFIC, a cosmetics company founded in South Korea, has taken 6,200 s/f of office space at 1385 Broadway, at West 38th St., according to Cresa. The term is for 10 years, and the tenant plans to take occupancy in the fall. The new space will enable AMOREPACIFIC to consolidate offices currently in SoHo and New Jersey, according to Ed Wartels, vice president of Cresa, who represented the tenant. Diana Gaines, David Malawer, Jon Serko, and Gary Greenspan of Cushman & Wakefield represented the landlord. "AMOREPACIFIC wanted to be in a location that was more central to its buyers and would allow for future growth, and 1385 Broadway met these requirements," said Wartels. "Building ownership, which was very accommodating during the negotiation, has made several major improvements to the property in recent years, including its lobby, which made the location an even more attractive choice." For over 65 years, AMOREPACIFIC has introduced millions to the benefits of high performance skincare, blending the rarest and most potent Asian botanicals with cutting edge-technology and a global beauty philosophy that emphasizes a nurturing approach to optimal skin health. Using the highest level of care, AMOREPACIFIC cultivates the most potent skincare ingredients harvested from their own proprietary green tea gardens on Jeju Island (off the coast of Korea). In doing so, AMOREPACIFIC ensures the purity and potency of its products from planting to purchase.
