Wang joins Barton LLP as partner in firm’s corporate and international practice

New York, NY George Wang, formerly a partner with AmLaw100 firm Haynes and Boone, has joined Barton LLP as a partner in the firm’s corporate and international practice. Wang is an internationally known corporate transactions attorney who focuses his practice on mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, investments and broad-scope business transactions on behalf of clients in North America, Asia and Europe. He has represented a wide range of domestic and international clients in the energy, financial services, insurance, real estate, technology, life sciences and consumer products industries on numerous domestic and cross-border merger and acquisition, private equity, venture capital and related transactions. He has completed several multi-continent M&A transactions, including acquisitions of United States public companies and “going private” transactions, and has handled countless other securities offerings, strategic alliances, financings, and licensing matters. George has led several internationally recognized cross-border transactions, including those that were awarded 2014 Cross-Border Deal of the Year by Global M&A Network and 2013 Domestic (Mexico) M&A Deal of the Year by LatinFinance. George received his bachelor’s degree from Cornell University and his juris doctorate from The Cornell Law School, where he was recently named Cornell Asian Alumni Association Honoree of the Year. Additionally, he received his master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where, for more than a decade, he served as Education Counselor to the Admissions Committee.
