Wagner of Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel named Woman of the Year by WX

New York, NY According to WX New York Women Executives in Real Estate, (WX) its annual Woman of the Year gala will be held on Wednesday, November 17, 2021, from 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm at The Pierre, located at 2 East 61st St. The gala will honor Elise Wagner, a partner in the land use department at Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel LLP, for her accomplishments as a leader in the real estate industry as well as her contributions to WX.

Wagner advises real estate owners and developers, and non-profit institutions on land use issues they face when planning and developing new buildings, and when rehabilitating and repositioning existing buildings. Elise’s work encompasses coordinating the public approval processes for major public-private development projects involving private developers and New York City and state agencies; identifying the most efficient and cost-effective strategy for obtaining approval of an addition to a single building; negotiating multiparty transactions for the transfer of development rights; and performing due diligence for the purchase and financing of major properties.

Wagner has been recognized by Chambers USA (2019, 2020), Legal 500 US (2012, 2014 – 2018) and New York Super Lawyers (2007 – 2020). A Chambers USA source describes her as “terrific” and adds that “she’s very practical, looks for solutions and is a good person to work with” (2020). She was featured in the 2019 “Women in Real Estate, Professional Services” Spotlight by the New York Real Estate Journal. Wagner was named to Crain’s New York Business’s 2019 list of Notable Women in Law.

Recognized as an active industry leader, Wagner is on the Board of Directors for the New York Building Congress, a member of the Board of Advisors for the Furman Center for Real Estate and Urban Policy at the New York University School of Law, and a former board member of WX and current co-chair of the WX Programming Committee.
