W&H Props launches $53m capital improvements at 1350 Broadway

W&H Properties has launched a $53 million capital improvement program at 1350 Broadway, a Pre-War office tower in the Penn Plaza District, according to Jonathan Fanuzzi, managing director of Newmark Knight Frank, the building's managing and leasing agent. The renovations underway include a new lobby, renovated elevators, air-conditioned public corridors, and restrooms, along with upgraded building systems. "The high quality that will result from these renovations is the same as that of the original properties in the W&H portfolio-60 East 42nd St., 501 Seventh Ave., 1359 Broadway and 250 West 57th St.-where the capital improvement programs are complete," said Fanuzzi. "All of these properties underwent top-to-bottom renovations, which transformed them," he said. "In fact, two of the properties were honored as Renovated Building of the Year by the Building Owners and Managers Association of New York. Now tenants at 1350 will be able to enjoy a similar transformation that, in combination with the prime Herald Sq. location-with its unparalleled access to transportation and amenities-will culminate in a modern, professional environment with class A facilities and amenities." Situated on the north side of Herald Sq., 1350 Broadway contains 25 stories and more than 400,000 s/f. The building is owned by 1350 Broadway Associates L.L.C, a partnership led by Peter Malkin.
