Villafane joins The Switzer Group

The Switzer Group, an award winning interior design firm, has named Louis Villafane as its managing principal. In his role as managing principal, Villafane will be responsible for the overall management and operations of the firm. Villafane brings over thirty years of experience in the interior design, corporate facilities and construction industries. During his career, he has held positions as both a principal and chief operating officer for prominent New York City design firms. He has also led a large facilities department as manager of construction and space planning for a Fortune 500 company, and has worked as an owners representative. His wide range of clients include financial services, advertising, accounting, legal, publishing, insurance, pharmaceutical, technology, retail, and not-for-profits. This broad experience gives Villafane a unique understanding of the dynamics and complexities of each project and the expectations of all stakeholders. Lou Switzer, the firm's chairman and CEO, says of Villafane's leadership, "We are thrilled to have Louis with the firm. We look forward to a very bright future." Villafane earned his bachelors of science in Architecture from New York City College. He is a past board member of the Glen Ridge Board of Education, and has been active in many professional and community organizations. Since its founding in 1975, The Switzer Group has grown into one of the most highly respected interior planning and design firms in the nation offering design and consulting services to a variety of clients ranging from Fortune 500 to not-for-profit companies.
