USGBC-LI acknowledges local green building projects at the 2008 Innovation and Design Awards - October 30

Two local green building projects received honorary mention at the USGBC-LI's first annual Innovation and Design Awards ceremony, held at the Castello di Borghese Vineyard on October 30. The estimated 80 guests at the event also enjoyed an education symposium titled," Can the suburbs really be green?" Speakers included Steven Winter, the past chairman of the U.S. Green Building Council, James Russell, an architectural critic, Bill Chaleff, a green architect on Long Island, and Dorian Dale from the Town of Babylon.
